FPU Barman Academy was born from an idea by Alessandro Valenzi. Bartender since 1997 and pioneer of the Capitoline flair is among the figures who have contributed most to the spread of bartending flair in Rome and in Italy. He has been involved in training since 1999 when he opened his first barman school, and then opened a second one in 2006. At the same time he was Bar Manager of the Maison from 2001 to 2007 and from 2008 to 2013 he was the owner of the 'Level Club' venue in Rome. He has always been the director of the Italian bartending scene, but he prefers real work to the so-called limelight, focusing on training and teaching. Today's stars of the Italian bartending scene are born from his teachings: Antonio Parlapiano, Roberto Artusio, Alessandro Procoli, Simone Bodini, Matteo Ciampicali, Gianluca Melpha, Joy Napolitano, and others.
